MN Zoo for a little giraffe study

In early June, we celebrated B's 2nd Birthday with our dear friends, the G's.  I have known Rachel since years before children.  Our children's ages all align well and they really enjoy each other's company.

B's gift this year was a trip to the MN Zoo to feed the giraffes.  What a joy!  You purchase 2 "giraffe" crackers and can break them into a few pieces.  If the giraffes became disinterested in eating, the Zoo employees would shake a branch with tempting leaves to come back to the feeding area.  I agree, greens over hard crackers any day!

B was much more interested in watching than feeding.

S, on the other hand, really got into it!  It was probably that really long black tongue.

S, W with J and A after the Zoo.  We were able to continue the celebration with the second round of cake.  Because of a misunderstanding between the mommy's, we ended up with gooey cupcakes AND a wonderful homemade cake!

B and M clearly enjoyed the cupcakes!
